Berwick Woodworkers Members Exhibition
Berwick District Woodworkers Club Inc. Annual Expo: 12 - 14 July 2024
Following the outstanding success of last year’s Expo, the Berwick District Woodworkers Club Inc. will again hold an exhibition of members’ work on the weekend of 12th July (5pm – 8pm), and 13th and 14th July (9am – 5pm daily) 2024. Entry is free.
Held in the Club’s clubrooms and workshop in the grounds of The Old Cheese Factory, 34 Homestead Rd., Berwick, this year’s Expo will display a broad range of members’ woodwork, some of which will be for sale. We will also have a dedicated Sales area, where members will be offering non-exhibition pieces for sale as well as a selection of timbers. A number of live demonstrations will run during the Expo, including wood turning, rocking horse making, band saw, scrollsaw, toy making, carving, and pyrography. A chain saw sculptor will be in action outside the clubrooms, and there will also be a kid’s corner, a raffle with great prizes, and drinks available.
We will also be conducting our popular monthly Farmer’s Market on the Saturday morning till 1pm,

The Merrigum Historical Society is holding it’s annual Heritage Day on Sunday 21st April 2024.
North East Gathering
The annual forum has been rescheduled and is now open for attendance. There will be: the Presidents’ Reports, wood sales, show n’ tell from all clubs present, demonstration from Screw-it-Screws, a Q & A session and farewells. The toys are gathered up in November and donated to local charities across the Goulburn Valley. So why not come along and hone your skills in band sawing, sanding, turning and much more, whilst helping local charities.
OPEN DAY
There will be lots of members to have a chat with and show you around. As well as:
Demonstrations of a variety of woodworking skills e.g., turning, box making, pyrography, scroll sawing, using various machines and much more.
Tours of the clubrooms, workshop and other areas.
Opportunity to buy member’s wooden items - you might find that birthday or Christmas present you’ve been looking for.
Lots of members to meet including the committee.

31st GV Woodworkers Woodworking Show
2023 will see the running of our 31st Woodworking Show. Businesses, stall holders, demonstrators and Wood Working Clubs from all across Victoria, NSW and SA come to showcase their amazing talents and products and do demonstrations on the latest wood working techniques. Why not come along and get those bits n’ bobs you’ve been looking for, stock up on wood supplies, grab some early Christmas presents and ask those questions you have about woodworking.

Bunnings - Father’s Day Stall
Bunnings will be hosting a Father’s Day Event providing family entertainment, fair stalls, games, fun and more. Community groups will have the opportunity to have stalls to sell items and raise money for their organisations. The GV Woodworkers have been invited to do demonstrations and have a stall selling members items. Help needed and all members are invited to come and be apart of this great community event.

Stephen Hughes - Turning Workshop
TURNING WORKSHOP with Stephen Hughes
Interested in learning how to turn a butterfly box, fretwork and carved inlay lid bowl form and multi-laminated layer goblet? Stephen Hughes will be demonstrating how to do just that. The workshop will be run at the Eastern Woodturners Club in Wandin North (thanks to Charlie for opening the invitation to other clubs). There will also be a raffle and door prizes on the day.

Colbinabbin Picnic & Wine Festival
The Colbinabbin Silo Art Committee, for the first time, are holding a festival to raise money for the upkeep of the silo art trail within the region. The festival runs from 11am-3pm and has ‘Yesteryear’ theme. We will be attending and demonstrating turning and wood burning, whilst also selling toys and member’s items. Come along and support the club by volunteering some time on the stall!

SCROLL SAW WEEKEND (Australian Scroll Saw Network)
Interested in learning scroll saw work? More of an expert in scroll sawing? Why not support the Australian Network and come along to the annual Wangaratta weekend. Share your knowledge, learn new skills and enjoy others company!
